Nelson Lip

Pride of Sabah

Hailing from Tawau, Sabah, Nelson Lip draws inspiration from the lush forests of his homeland with pride. His deep connection to his roots shines through in his art, leading to local and international collaborations that resonate beyond borders.

Born and bred in Kuching, Timothy James, also known as T. Bagak, takes pride in his Dayak heritage and channels it into Borneo folk art. He challenges mainstream depictions of his ancestors’ art forms with a fresh, millennial indigenous perspective with bold creations.
